Norma R. Guillard Limonta is a Cuban psychologist, gender studies specialist, and Adjunct Professor at the Facultad de Psicología at Universidad de la Habana. Her areas of expertise include racial identity, sexual diversity, and social communication. Norma’s publications focus on the issues of women and media, HIV/AIDS, homofobia/lesbofobia, and hip-hop. She has offered conferences on women’s education and social development, and gender and sexuality, in various universities across the United States. Norma is the Cuban representative of the Red de Mujeres Afrodescendientes del Caribe y Latinoamérica, and is a member of the Sociedad Cubana Multidisciplinaria de Estudios de la Sexualidad. She presides a research commission on identity, and diversity in social communication at the Sociedad Cubana de Psicología, and is the founder of the Asociación de Comunicadores Sociales of Cuba.
